Opening of the new casting bay in Metal Ravne
The new ingots casting bay (steel semi-manufactured products) was ceremoniously handed over on Tuesday, 22 September 2009, with which the Metal Ravne Company, a member of the Slovenian Steel Group (SIJ), concluded the largest investment project in the recent history of the company.

The Opening of the 30-Million-Euro Investment at Acroni

The Half-Year Results of the SIJ Group
11 Sept. 2008, Ravne na Koroškem – At a press conference, Tibor Šimonka, the Chairman of the Management Board, presented the half-year results of the Slovenian Steel Group (SIJ) while the Director of Metal Ravne, Andrej Gradišnik, presented the investment into the modernised rolling mill together with ambitious marketing plans and the half-year results of the steelmaking company from the Koroška region.

The Modernised Rolling Mill at Metal Ravne
1 Sept. 2008, Ravne na Koroškem – The modernised rolling mill for billets became operational at Metal Ravne. After the recent launch of the forging shop for heavy forgings, this modernised rolling mill represents the second of the three strategic investments by Metal Ravne for which it is set to allocate a total of 111 million euros in the period 2007-2009.
