In March 2007 the privatization process was concluded as the the Government of the Republic of Slovenia sold 55.35 percent of its shares to the Russian group Koks.

In accordance with the government appointed Committee for Management and Supervision of the Sale of an Equity Participation of the Republic of Slovenia and pursuant to the Decree on Sales Proceedings and Other Forms of Disposal of Governmental Property (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No.123/2003) we would like to inform you, that the Public invitation to tender for purchase of shares of the company SIJ – Slovenska industrija jekla, d. d./SIJ – Slovenian Steel Group has been published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia no. 100/06, in newspapers Delo and Financial Times on Friday, 29th September 2006.
